What is CIL

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a planning charge imposed by local authorities on new developments in England and Wales to help fund community facilities like schools, transport, and open spaces. It applies to projects adding 100 m² or more of floorspace, or those creating a new dwelling.
